Here’s what to anticipate during the commercial water damage restoration process.

Each water or flood damage scenario is distinct, so we tailor a restoration plan to meet your unique needs. Here’s a brief outline of the commercial water damage restoration process.

When our team arrives, we'll assess your situation and all water damage. This typically includes the following:

Finding the water source and shut it down (if you haven't already done so)
Determining your water type to ensure water damage restoration work is completed accordingly
Inspecting your property for damages and correlating safety issues such as asbestos
Preparing your space for restoration, including moving furniture and other items as needed

Using submersible pumps, truck-mounted vacuums and any other equipment necessary, we'll extract the majority of the water from an affected space to stop water damage from spreading and mold from starting. This will also give us a jump start on drying everything out for you.

We also use a variety of tools, including infrared cameras, to assess saturation and find any water that may have gotten behind your walls or in the ceiling.

With the extraction complete, we'll determine whether or not it's necessary to remove your carpet and carpet pad to preserve the integrity of your subfloor.

Once the water is removed, the Supreme Building team will move on to completely drying out your floors, walls and other items. This is crucial to avoid warping, swelling, mold and other ongoing issues that will undermine any restoration efforts.

Using industrial-strength fans and dehumidifiers, we will reduce the humidity and dry out your carpet, furniture, drywall, wood and other materials.

Throughout the drying process, we'll use highly specialized instruments to assess moisture levels in the floors, walls and other areas until they reach proper levels.

Once everything is dried out, returning your space to "normal" will take a lot of cleaning. This step typically includes the following:

Providing the necessary cleaning techniques to assist in restoring as many items as possible
Utilizing a portable filtration system (air scrubber) to remove lingering and offensive odors
If applicable for your situation, sanitizing and disinfect using industrial-grade cleaning agents
Discarding any damaged items with your approval and according to insurance guidelines
